This PhD will focus on the design and produce new stable enzyme variants suitable for cascade reactions in organic or biphasic media by protein engineering, X-ray crystallography studies, bioinformatic analyses and predictive enzyme design. The ESR is expected to develop novel stable transaminase variants for industrial amine production and enzyme design protocol targeting flexible loops. At the end of the project, the ESR must be able to demonstrate a cascade process in organic or biphasic media.
